Extra blog ♥

Well hey.

This is a little extra post, I'm still going to post on Monday, because I wanna get into a weekly routine of doing things. Anyway, I was thinking the other day about popularity and what it means to be 'popular'. When I was in year 6, I was heading to assembly with my class mates and I asked my best friend if I could sit next to her, then someone else asked her and she had to choose either me or my other friend, she replied "I just don't know! Both! I'm just so popular!" And we laughed it off, We knew she was being sarcastic but my teacher heard her and said "No one is popular, ever. Popularity is a silly thing, you have your own friends and no one should be looked upon or judged by others."

What my teacher said has stuck with me and in the bath the other night, I thought about the subject again. This is what I said to myself:
If you think that being rich, having designer clothes or kissing boys helps you to become popular, then think again. These things don't make you popular, they make you un-popular. Showing off all your expensive things is not 'cool', neither is smoking, so don't smoke :) So I thought, being popular consists of having trust in your friends, being loyal and being kind and friendly.

This isn't a nag, but it's an insight to what goes on in my brain and sometimes I would like to share with you little things I think about, not everything because that would be weird, but some things I think you will be interested in.
So, be ready for these little things :)

My Passion

Hey guys!
Well, this week has been an okay week. I have had about 33 page views on my blog which is great for only one post! I am so glad, people have actually read it :)

This week I really just stayed indoors - This sounds a bit boring, but it wasn't. With my mum I decided to do two things off of my list:
60. Attempt to make ice cream
91. Make the perfect pie

I decided to make my ice cream first, so it would be ready in a few days to eat with the pie. As I was making the ice cream, I found myself extreamly happy and hyper, maybe it was the fatty content or the amount of sugar that was in the ice cream, but I found myself at home? I really enjoyed making it and quickly realized, that baking and cooking made me happy, that was my 'thing.' Some people ooze over the new make up Benefit just came out with, or some people love designing new clothes, but mine, well it was baking and making things for other people to enjoy and ooze over. It was only yesterday I tried my ice cream and if I say so myself, it tasted delicious.

I then made my pie, I made the pastry and even took the time to pick my own fruit, from the local fruit farm. This made the pie even more tastier! Even picking the fruit put a smile on my face, something I hadn't done naturally for a very long time. I got home and prepared my pie, then put it in the oven. The smell overwhelmed my, it smelt AMAZING! And it also tasted pretty good!

So, what I am trying to say is, if you haven't found a hobby yet, or something that has made you happy, try doing all the things you can think of and by doing this, you can find the thing you love doing the most. Maybe baking is your unknown passion?

Yes?

During the past summers I have found myself bored to death. I don't know why, I think it is that I don't say 'yes' to enough things. But recently, I have told myself to 'step out of my comfort zone' and 'say yes!'. I have tried doing this and I found myself enjoying life a little bit more.

The idea of saying 'yes' to more things came from Zoe Sugg (Zoella). I think I can relate to her a lot, go read her blog or check our her YouTube channel!

On Friday the 19th of July, my friends invited me to the cinema, being my shy self I was about to reply 'Oh, I think I'm busy. Sorry :(' But I actually found myself saying, 'Yeah sure!'. I was apprehensive to go, I'm not sure why, maybe it was the idea of getting the bus? Or being out without an adult? I didn't know what it was, but I was nervous. When it came to going home, in my head I thought, 'That actually wasn't too bad, I had a right laugh!'.

Saying 'yes' to more things has made me a happier person because I am experiencing new things and spending more time with those I love. I just wish I realized earlier that saying 'yes' wouldn't hurt.

So, saying 'yes' to things has made me less bored, but to also help me I created a list of 101 things to do, and in 5 days I have already completed 3 of them.

So, if you're like me and you are shy or you just say 'yes' enough, then make up a list of things to do during the summer, and make sure you do them all!
